Kenneth D. Moore, inmate at the Randolph County jail, awaits trial for a burglary charge. The 74-bed jail was constructed in 1914 and did not meet Federal and State guidelines for more than a decade before the new jail with 195 beds was built in 1997. In 2010 the current jail was deemed overcrowded by the Sheriff.
