She taught science at Kiser for 36 years, with nearly half of that time in Room 312. On Saturday during the alumni association, she walked into the cafeteria and said, “It’s like I never left. I still can see myself sitting with the students."
At least 50 alumni and two former teachers came together Saturday to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Kiser Middle School. The Kiser Alumni Association put together the celebrate to honor the school's recent accomplishments, its illustrious past and its newest milestone. Named after former mayor and school board chairman, Claude Kiser, the school turned 60 this year.
